ANAT 6000  Anatomy of the Pelvis and Perineum  (2 Credits)
A. Madsen, P. Kattil, Y. Salinas-Alvarez (Winter) - The goal of this course is to demonstrate how female pelvic anatomy can be applied to gynecologic surgery to improve surgical outcomes and reduce complication rates. This course covers the essential anatomic knowledge required to practice obstetrics, gynecology, and basic female pelvic surgery. It is intended for mid-level residents in Ob/Gyn and Urology or Gynecologic Surgery fellows in their first year of subspecialty training. The course will use a combination of online lectures, in person case discussions, and cadaver dissections to prepare residents to be competent in diagnosing and surgically treating gynecologic conditions. It will also lay the foundation for gynecologic surgery fellows to engage in advanced anatomy specific to their subspecialties in the future.
